Anita Scott

Practice Partner, Psychologist

Since graduating in 2001 I have worked in both the public and private sectors assessing and treating adults. I have been trained extensively in the field of trauma-related disorders, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. I am a Certified EMDR therapist and an EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training.

My focus now is in providing consultation services to others. This can vary from offering an opinion about appropriate treatment regarding a psychological injury to regular case consultation with clinicians. Consultation can be individual or in a group format.

When consulting with clinicians, I follow an EMDR therapy framework, which is integrative, client-centred, and collaborative. I am trained in the Theory of Structural Dissociation of the Personality (TSDP) and apply that when treating dissociative disorders. I also draw on CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, and attachment theory.

I am also a service provider for Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and the RCMP. I provide diagnostic evaluations and assess functional impairment regarding operational stress and injury.
